Thanks for the reply! I agree to support the local archery shop but my favorite one closed down recently. I'll have to give the other one a try. Thanks again!

do you hunt turky? just use an old fletching as a layout and make them. if you do though usse them all from one side of the bird (right wing and side of the tail). i didn't have the money to buy them at first, but now i love making them (especially if you have a good layout on a piece of cardboard- tip from another guy who makes his arrows).

I had been ordering the feathers that I fletch with from Cabelas. They only offered them in quantities of 50 and all the same color @ $22.99 per 50. That sucked, because I had to order two batches and two different colors to do my arrows.
I found a small archery shop locally that sold the same feathers for .35 a piece in any color and quantity that I wanted. Thats $17.50 for 50 feathers and my choice of colors and no shipping and handling charges.
