LOL! Probably!JawsDad said:my guess is the arrow. In the form of a spear.. Then "UGH" the cave engineer tried to figure out how to propel it at a high rate of speed.
Then someone said "UGH, your drawlength is a half inch too long"
Don't give Easton any ideas...:wink:bigrackHack said:...What we need is $100 bows and $700 arrows.![]()
Can you imagine the wait in line at targets on 3-D courses? Waiting for guys who lost arrows to find them. At $58 an arrow, I would not leave a target til I had my arrow back in hand lolbigrackHack said:What we need is $100 bows and $700 arrows.![]()
:confused3: Hmmm... Kinda like inkjet printers and ink! Get a "free" printer with your computer and spend $1000 on ink to use it.bigrackHack said:The arrows..........the actual "broadhead delivery system".

IMHO it is a trilogy of the bow, the arrow and the archer. No one can function optimally without being properly fitted to the other two.JAVI said:Interesting discussion…
What is the more important, the bow or the arrows?
I couldn't remember the name, but the Atlatl was used first according to the documentary programs I watched, and then the bow came next to propel a smaller arrow, which gave more distance between the hunter and the sometimes dangerous prey they hunted.Spreggy said:I thought the atlatl was a precursor to the bow? Which would make the arrow, in the shape similar to what we refer to as an arrow (stick, point, fletch), first. The atlatl is credited by some for ridding North America of large mammals like the mammoth.
I've seen some dudes that start slingin' 3 days before bow season that couldn't match atlatl accuracy.r302 said:If I'm on track here, the Atlatl was thrown accurately with and notched stick, ( which also had a name I can't remember ), at a distance of only 20 to 60 feet.![]()
alright now that is damn funnyspoco57 said:The arrow (small spear) came first but then there followed the nasty arguments between the purists and the new tech guys over whether it was ethical to harvest animals by use of such modern tech as utilizing a bent stick and a string to launch a small spear. as well as: (but what about the handicapped ************* who NEEDS the bow to be able to hunt?) and ( every Tom, Dick and Harry will be able to join the hunt quickly without having to master the art of spear throwing)
Then the atlatl fellows chimed in with their two cents and it bacame a free-for-all until the moderaters created a new forum just for that controversial issue.
