Okay....let's say you have $400 remaining out of your hunting budget to spend on gear...you're in good shape with everthing else except the items listed.

What would you suggest getting...remember, your budget only allows one:

1) Double Bull Matrix

Another vote for the Cuddeback. You'd use it ALL year long and get more enjoyment from it. I see the Matrix has several votes as well but it's simply a piece of Turkey hunting equipment as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't use one for whitetail if there was ANY chance to sit in a stand!

I went with blind...

Because a blind is a good tool, and you can get away with more movement or scents from my limited experience.

edit: Or another choice of mine If I was in your shoes would be to buy maybe 2-3 cheaper cameras. You can use them all year long too. I suppose the blind could be used for scouting photo's and observation too.

My daughter and I saw some good deer last year sitting in the blind and watching beans grow.

Double Bull without a doubt...

Double Bull Matrix is the way to go.
IMHO
I'm not sure what you are using now but once you get one you will never want to be without one...

Ok a digital camara will tell you where the big one is!

The Blind will allow you to hunt for the big one from the ground! But I'm more of a climber hunter!

The scent lock stuff will allow you to be unsmelled by the big one!

But the heater suit which will allow you to stay in the stand four times as long on a sub zero morning/day!

My opinion is the heater suit will keep you comfortable longer so you will be in your tree stand when the big one finally decides to show himself!

All the others are great too but I'm more into comfort and lasting longer in a tree! And If I get cold it sucks sitting there all day long even when the sun comes up you never actually seem to get warm!

Many of you guys that are actually voting for the Matrix??? What kind of success have most of you actually had on "mature" whitetails from this blind??? I have a couple of DB blinds, including the Matrix, and they just don't sut it for older whitetails no matter how much we try to brush it in. They are good blinds and I love to Turkey hunt from them but man I wouldn't suggest someone spend that kind of money on one for DEER season, many other better investments for that price isn't there???
