I shoot a hoyt katera and absolutely love it. what would be the reason to switch to any of the newer hoyts? i haven't shot any of the newer hoyt bows, are they that much better? i know that my kat is probably faster than the newer ones. why would i want to give up the extra speed?

the katera and katera xl are awesome bows. but the alphamax 35 is the only bow i would step up too. i have two of them and a katera xl, and couldnt find enough reasons to get a maxis or a crx. the only one reason i like the alphamax a little better is the weight of the bow. my xl katera is heavy as lead but shoots awesome.

I'm not suree y u think ur kateras faster than new bows, but honestly the most important thing about shooting imo is to be comfortable with ur equipment so if u r there really isn't a need to switch

If you love what you have then why think about switching. But if you do have a spark of interest in a new Hoyt and your a speed guy then try the Alpha Burner you might like it.

A friend of mine just got a katera and loves it. I've never even shot a hoyt. But, I will shoot his soon to see how it shoots. They do look nice!!
