In night shot mode...it works great at night recording, but during the day, it is super bright and you can barely see anything...anyone have an idea whats going on?

Dumb question, but do you have your filter down to filter the daylight in night shot mode.

Mine does the same thing. You need to get a darker filter for it. The one they supply is not dark enough for my camcorder. I think they list a website where you can get filters at, in the manual. Also, when I get pictures at dark, the deer look white, no color at all, any of you guys experience that???

You get no color at night with the IR and none during the day with the filter down. They explain in the instructional DVD that the footage in broad daylight is too much for the night shot feature of the camera and too much for the filter that comes with it. I don't really care myself, 98% won't be at noon anyway. I was told there is a simple mod that can be done to the cameras, I'll check in to that.
