I have two questions of the two what would be the smoothest to draw and shoot a recurve or the longbow. I'm thinking real hard about getting into traditional archery and I'm testing the waters. Also do most of you hunt deer from tree stands with traditional equipment.

My opion is a longbow is smoother to draw and shoot. I will hunt from a tree and the ground depends on where I am and the weather. For sombody just trying trad a recuve seems to be better, Mostly because of the grip. Trad bows are a great time just don't overbow your self at the start. Get your form right first then work up to a hunting weight bow.

Really depends on which longbow and which recurve you're talking about.

When I used to hunt, it was from the ground. This duck don't climb trees :pukey:
