Hello there, i'm pretty new to archery, yet inlove though, and at the moment i'm mainly practicing target shooting.
But i'm not crossing off the list to go hunting in the futur, when i'll have a decent level.

At the moment i'm all eyes on Fred Bear's Motive 7 bow.
I like the bow and everything i read about it, but has no first hand experiencee with it (yet).

I'm 6 feet tall and require a 29.5" draw length.

Would anyone tell me if this bow could be a decent bet for a year or so of target shooting distance range from 18-60 meters (plus eventually some minor/local competition)?
Then a year later moving on to hunting!

Any first hand experience with this bow would really be appreciated.
Any alternative choice will be considered as well.

Thank you all for your input.

David.

Any bow can be used for target, the longer axle to axle bows may feel more comfortable to some target shooters, but I have seen plenty of people at the range with standard hunting bows that are a hell of a shot. Start off that way and get your skills going. You can't worry too much on the bow until you have the basics down. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply jrandres!
I pushed my proshop's doors this weekend and spent 3 hours trying many bows and tuning my choice.
Finally I settled for a Bowtech Carbon Knight.
Felt good in hand and fill the needs.
Can't wait to shoot more with it in the coming days.

Anyway, thank you for your input and wish you a good day ;)
