im using 1.5 in quickspin fletching with a vital gear kaz away rest. my fletchings on the left side of the arrow are wrinkled.

why?

you sir have vane contact going on. Borrow the missus' baby powder (talc) and apply evenly over your rest and arrow shelf, shoot a few then have a look to see where the talc has come off and you have your contact area. You may need to simply adjust the arrow nock, nocking point, centreshot or dropaway timing. Keep using this method until you find the culprit...or the missus catches you with her baby powder :darkbeer:

well if my left vanes are wrinkled isnt it safe to say its hitting on the left? no need for talc right?

cant be rotating that much. vanes are pretty close to the rest when the arrow leaves the string right?

That is correct. It takes a few feet for the vanes to start the arrow to rotate.

...ah, and even MORE information comes to light...

...this can add to your sight/arrow impact issue as well...

...think about this "left side" of your arrow making contact and where your arrows are hitting...

...so much for paper tuning telling you everything was "good to go" :D
