One question. Legal for hunting or generally to buy, own and shoot?
I don't think there's anywhere in the states a crossbow is illegal to buy and own. I've known some felons who use them in place of guns as their bedside weapon of choice, I imagine a bedside weapon isn't quite as common a thing in Germany hahaOne question. I'm periodic wondered about the differences in law in the different states in your country. Not rating about but only curious.I don't think there's anywhere in the states a crossbow is illegal to buy and own. But as humans, you have a right to own guns. It’s idiotic to live somewhere where you can’t have guns.I'm periodic wondered about the differences in law in the different states in your country. Not rating about but only curious.
The gun law in my country is a federal law, so in each state things run equal. Xbows are a part of this law, its legal to buy, own or shoot with them. But it is illegal to hunt with bows or xbows.
And bedside weapons we don't need, we are living in a safe country. Greets
Wisconsin legalized them a long time ago for everyone, and it has not changed things a whole lot. If you think about it, unless you have an Excalibur Twinstrike crossbow, you have have little or no chance of getting a second shot. It is far more feasible for a second shot opportunity with a standard or vertical bow.Yeah people are in an uproar in Minnesota about anyone being able to bow hunt the entire bow season with a crossbow now. It used to be just people over 65(?) or with a written note from a doctor.
Personally, I don't see it changing things a whole lot... but maybe I'm wrong?
PS. I've been shooting a compound bow with a torn labrum for 9 years, I'm just too stubborn to switch to crossbow. Takes some of the "hunt" out of it for me...
Legal to hunt with. They have always been legal to buy, own, and shoot by anyone in Minnesota. One question. Legal for hunting or generally to buy, own and shoot?
No much has changed? Over 50% now harvested with xgun. A Ravin 29 scoped is a 100 yard killer, with 185ke.Wisconsin legalized them a long time ago for everyone, and it has not changed things a whole lot. I started rifle hunting in Minnesota in ~ 1982. the season was the first weekend of November through the following weekend (9 days) in zone #2 Central Minnesota. I'm pretty sure it's been during a good portion of the rut for rifle hunting for at least 40 years or so.Mn.was a top buck state 20 years ago, then they opened rifle season during peak rut. Take scopes off xguns and ml and no issues. Wi. Went full inclusion 8 years ago, now over 50% are xgun harvests. Sad. Quick and easy.
Grew up there and have a great chunk, with 48 years of my habitat work. And 47 book entries off my farm. I know wisconsin. 50 bowstands and 9 gun towers. Those of you that KNOW nothing about WI. & the Xbow should spend some time checking to see how it HAS effected the Buck kill in WI!
