screw in the threaded scope rod so it is deep into that housing. You need alot of rod sticking out the opposite side of the scope. You will feel the tension increase as it all tightens up.

Then loosen the windage housing and slide it (left or right) to where it is very close to the final position you are seeking. Make small left right adjustments with the adjustment knob as you sight-in.

If you only have a small part of your scope rod sticking out of the housing, you will have problems with it loosening up on ya.
