I need some help deciding which bow I should get for my son. I want to make sure I get him the right size bow so he dosen't get fustrated and not want to shoot. I was looking at the Gennsis line but my options are open. I'm not sure which ATA would be good for him or how to identify his draw weight.

The boy
1. 8 years old
2. Approximentley 4' 5" tall

Also if there are any suggestions on a sight. The problem there is he's color blind. I think it will have to come down to him counting pins instead of using the colors.

Thanks for the help.

Best thing to do is take him to your local shop and shoot a couple. My son is 8 years old also, and I bought him a Martin Tiger. He started around 23 inch draw, and about 18 pounds. He is now at the same draw, but about 30 pounds after 6 or so months of shooting.
Let your son do the picking, that alone may keep him interested, along with some positive re-inforcement!
Look for a JOAD program also, then he can get some instruction and shoot with younger kids.
