I am in the process of framing and sheetrocking a protion of my basement that holds my "bow shop/trophy den" and want to paint it a nice color to offset the mounts I have/will have, along with pictures and posters, etc...

I know there are already a few threads about this, but I am looking for more ideas, so post up pics of your getaway rooms please!

I am leaning towards a tan/khaki so far... The room will have natural unfinished pine trim.

I will attach a pic in a minute of the progress...

It has poured concrete walls, and had a garage door which we recently replaced with a sliding patio door.

Used to a garage door. Will have pine trim on the top.

I seriously love this color, makes the mounts really stand out.
I think tan walls would make them blend in too much.

Here's the back wall and shelf that I built for my attached workshop. Keeping them out of the main house keeps the wife happy, plus I have a retreat.

Here's mine. I have a 167" 10 pointer to go on the wall when the taxi gets it finished. These are all bow bucks.

Thats where I am at now Jim - and after 8 years of painted concrete - I am finally upgrading to something more "sophisticated"..LOL

And let me tell you - drilling Tapcons into concrete poured in 1926 is NO picnic!

Bump it up - let's see some color schemes please.

Side note - my Wife and I did our yearly BLACK FRIDAY Blitzkrieg and she secured a nice 40 inch flat panel TV for the basement! Woot Woot!

I SERIOUSLY am thinking of wrapping the frame in Mossy Oak Break Up Infinity vinyl...LOL

Nice!

We have a fairly small house, but I am happy with it...I share the basement with my two kids..we pretty much spend all winter down there..LOL

I plan to add one of those electric heater that look like a woodstove too..we have one upstairs and they work great, are prettyt effecient, and look good. Yes, i would love a pellet or wood stove, but for now - this will work...

I am aiming towards a shade of gray, as the bow shop counters and benches are a dark gray.

Well. Two of the four walls are framed, insulated, and almost rocked. For the TV wall I am going with Sheetrock upper and 8 inch knotty pine shop lap planks on the bottom. All trim will be natural pine. Still deciding on a color.

Here was the big wall this morning
