I bought my dad an Excalibur axium crossbow about 15yrs ago. The thing is huge and a pain to lug around but at his age we're not investing in a new $2000 rig. Anyways, ive been having him shoot 150gr slick trick grizz tricks. Hes taken a lot of deer with the rig but also wounded too many. He takes very ethical shots, broadside and within 20yds. The heads seem to be inconsistent. I suggested mechanicals this year. Any suggestions for a 150gr options? And they need to be simple to handle without deploying and adjusting spring clips, rubber bands, etc. Thanks guys

Thanks guys. He shot his biggest buck to date 2 weeks ago using the robusto 2". Perfect shot and the deer only went 60 yds or so with a great blood trail. I shot a buck last week with a vertical bow and the 1.75". Heaviest blood trail I've ever followed. These heads pack a punch, thanks for the recommendation.

I harvested a buck on opening day with the Robusto 2.0 at 59 yards. The bolt passed through the buck which collapsed after 65 yards. I did hear the bolt impact similar to hearing the thud of a bullet impact when using a suppressor. The Robusto 2.0 showed no indication of wear, was not deformed, and still sharp. After unlocking the blades and securing them in the ferrule, the bolt was shot at 50 yards without change in POI.

The grim reaper pro series x bow heads are pretty good as well iv ran them up to 440 fps but nothing faster I typically ran the 2" cut 2 blade model the shot great there longer head wich I wasn't a fan of but they were accurate and never had a failure

Due to shoulder issues I have used a crossbow from time to time and mostly used expandables. I never had an issue with Rage or NAP heads, ever. Although I don’t have one of those high tech super fast crossbows the deer always dropped in sight.
