Ok so finally got to get some play time with my supra, Id like to thank Scott Henry (Scottie/PA) for getting me one on short notice and setting it all up, as always bow was squared up and ready to shoot. Not to mention I'm almost certain Scott owns a bubble wrap factory, dude seriously protects a bow for shipment.
So the bow:
Bar none, it is the most elegant bow for 2016, there is nothing like it. It has just beautiful lines and a graceful curve to the riser, but also with an edgy appeal to it on the other side of the bow with the pointed projections, Dear PSE it really is a beautiful riser best I've seen period. The pocket system i didn't mess with but its well thought out and implemented, very subtle, if you didn't know it had adjustable pockets you wouldn't be able to tell, nice job on integrating a new tech. the width of the riser is definitely noticeable, the bow "feels" every bit of its 4.7 lbs its a substantial riser, but that equated to a bow that "feels" stiff/rigid on the shot i liked it. the machine work on the riser is 10 times what the supra's were before, this thing is flawless, every bit of detail was thought of on the machining.
Limbs, WOW they are wide, big time wide, noticeably wide, did i mention the limbs are wider than last years bows ? Im sure it makes for a more stable axle/cam combination.
grip: its more than other supras (from memory) its more square on the back side and feels nice, was quite comfortable to shoot i have no complaints, nicely done as i get more arrows through the bow I'm sure ill come to enjoy it, right now all i can say is i notice i have more grip I'm my hand.
cams: very nice, smooth like HD cams from my Decree HD, (i did shoot the 65% let off mods, didn't even bother with 75%) the valley reminded me of my beloved full throttle, it was ready to go but let down was great no problem. The cams are just butter smooth, weight builds very nicely rolls up over and stops. I liked the draw a lot but i will certainly need to get used to shooting again (haven't shot much in awhile and I'm out of "shooting shape")
The shot: naked (sans stabs) the bow kicks and has some vib to it (how many people are not going to run some type of bar(s)) on it, so on went my home made bars. now we are talking, the new riser shoots "stiffer" for lack of a better descriptor. bow feels very stabile in hand, it definitely feels like a serious target bow when shooting, more so than my supra max did. I will update thread as i get some more time on the bow
Overall: This is a target bow, a serious target bow for paperwork or foam work but this thing screams full on PSE commitment to putting out premium high quality target bows. Im not saying the previous years 2011-2015 supras or other target bows are substandard, but the new supra is just that awesome.
could you hunt with it? yeah but the polished black flawlessly machined riser just seems out of place in a tree stand, so yes you could hunt with it, but its like taking a bull barrel bench rifle hunting, its definitely got the accuracy but man do you want to carry an anchor through the woods. Did i mention is might be too pretty to hunt with. (i will be hunting with me cause its all i have at the moment)
Thanks again Scott, you always come through, I think he might have some more supras (but who knows how long)
