The airlines will "approve" a cardboard box. Do keep in mind that a baggage handlers job is to basically toss stuff as far as he can , and if he is having a bad day cause
he aint bow hunting .... well you get the picture.

On another uplifting note , last i checked , airlines have no guarantee on any sporting equipment or electronics.Blind faith ! If anyone knows of airlines that do cover
these items please fill me in !!

A really good way to make sure any baggage gets to where you are going , Pack a gun with it !
Yep thats right , just do it by FCC and airlines rules , Even a Blank Gun qualifies if you are not into caring a real gun.
Basically you hand you case of to to TSA , they will walk your baggage onto the plane , another TSA agent will walk it off the plane and pretty much place it in your hand apron arrival.
The last thing TSA wants is a case with a gun gone missing in an airport.
It will take a few minutes longer to check in and pack correctly but .......
Again follow all laws and regulations , and be careful of any layovers in states such as NEW YORK , NEW JERSEY , etc ......... do not leave the airport layover area with your baggage !
Again starter pistols qualify .

If you are just looking for a quality case there are many threads here ,( with just as many opinions )on the subject , try out that lil search button

SKB Parallel Limb case. Have taken mine on 5 plane rides never an issue and is almost indestructible.
