Hi there, I'm looking to purchase a Wiseguy release from Spot Hogg. Does anyone know anything about the toughness or lifespan of BOA wrist strap? I do not like gimmicks (not saying it is), so If I buy this, I expect some life and service from it. I'm used to a buckle strap.....Thanks in advance.

Haven’t seen a boa with a micro chain. Mine has a coated piece of wire. It’s comfortable and fits me well. I have a bit bigger than average wrist. My son has the buckle version and he likes his as well. Of course the boa strap is more comfortable from the get go, but the strap version eventually breaks in and softens up as well.
Coated wire, ok great...I was just curious if it was chain. Thank you ...I really like the concept. Thanks for your reply

I have the truglo release with BOA strap, the main problem is consistency, as it is difficult to get it sitting in the same way every time.
Other than that I like it and BOA generally have good warranty.
thanks for feedback.

I was wondering about that.. I guess you go by "feel" when you tighten it up? I guess if the wrist strap itself stretches, one could check by seeing where caliper lines up on hand, as a reference.
