Has anybody replaced the airshox on the Hoyt limbs with the limbsavers or bowjax limb dampener? I'm thinking it would definitely quiet the bow down replacing the airshox

I've got the carbon spyder and I feel it should be dead quiet and was thinking that might help or it's the cord on my limbdriver pro v when shot going from slack to tight again

These are the Limb Shox. They look like Air Shox but are solid rubber. Hard to find online. Pretty much have to order from a Hoyt dealer +/- $20. I kept these on a Matrix G3 and the CE G3. I went back to the Air Shox on the CS 34 cause I put on a color kit and I think the Limb Shox only come in black? Like I said hard for me to tell the difference but for $20 you can always give it a try and post up here what you think.

I have replaced my stock hoyt airshox with limbsavers split limb dampeners.... A bit quieter to my ear with no detriment to speed or usability. I also added a Bow Jax string suppressor enhance ER to the stock hoyt string stop... Combined effects are quite good...

Both bows make a fiberglass ringing noise if there are no limb dampeners.
The stock ones do not stay in place.
The lambsaver broadband limb dampeners are a big improvement over stock.
They are lighter than most other limb dampeners, and they lock the limbs together.
Both bows are extremely quiet. Between the two, the BM32 beats the Omen Max.

I'm

I'm with you.ive got a Defiant 34 that I'm waiting on a Hoyt color kit to come and I'm shooting a 368 grain arrow at 70# and it doesn't even have any kind of limb dampners on it right now and is as quite as any bow I've shot. I think the buzz and twang sound come from accessories on the bows or tuning issues. I also have the Podium and no troubles with noise on it either .
