Took about 80-90 shots before the string was exposed. The serving didn't hold up at all. It's a real shame as the bow does look really nice.

 

I have an Approach and it did the same so I reserved that area with 50lb power pro fishing line and it’s holding up nicely so far. Only did the few inches where it has the sharp angles on the cam.

Planned on getting new strings so this is just a temporary fix until I do so I can shoot and hunt hogs with it. I’ve used power pro before with no problems.

I found two areas on my Approach that were rubbing the string and cable. The cable ware was coming from a small bur on the module of the cam, some fine sandpaper fixed the problem. The second area was on my string where the draw stop contacts it. The metal edge of the stop was the only thing contacting the string a small shim behind the draw stop will move it over enough for the string to rest only on the rubber part of the stop or you can replace it with a lucky Stop.

 

So after reading this post I looked at mine and its wearing at the draw stop thanks for the heads up.

 

This is a common issue. Let me guess, this happens where the lower cam mod roles off the cable?

It’s really tough on oem strings, custom strings will last longer.

 

I had this issue recently with my Legion single cam. Server was looking bad where the cam module hits. My local shop built the string/cable for me 6 months ago so I took it in and he reserved it for free.
