I am a couple hours from any archery shops and am looking to buy a new bow this year. I am going to be in salt lake this week and was wondering if anyone knows of a good pro shop with a large selection of bows to shoot. I would like to shoot the new hoyts, mathews, and the new bears. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Head to Utah Archery Center. They are the best in SLC. They have Hoyt and mathews.

If you go 30 minutes south, you've got another couple of great options, Humphries Archery (Hoyt and Mathews) or jakes archery (Hoyt and PSE).

If you head 20 minutes north you've got Wilde Arrow. They've got all the new bows in stock from Hoyt (even the burner and the matrix) and Mathews, and they even have some elites.

I don't know of any shops in utah that carry bear.

Thanks, I have been told about humphries but I dont know if I will have time to get there. I am really looking forward to shooting the maxxis and the z7.I would really like to shoot the bowtech destroyer also but I don't know if I will have the patience to wait if I find a bow I really enjoy shooting. The only new bow I have shot in the last 4 years is a diamond iceman and I nearly bought that a couple months ago. I can't imagine a bow shooting any nicer than that one, but I want to try as many as possible before I spend the money they want for a new bow nowdays.

Jakes

I was just at Jakes archery today and they have a good selection of 2010 Pse bows including the axe 6 and Vendetta xl, they also carry Bear bows but have not seen any of the new bows yet. They also have elite, Hoyt, and the limb saver bows. Good people, I shot the axe 6, Maxxis 35, and Vendetta xl, I ranked them as follows. Handshock goes to the maxxis, speed goes to the axe 6 and smooth draw goes to the Vendetta. Good luck with your bow hunting
