OK so i am going to attempt to make a longbow to play with or if nothing else to hang on the wall. I have alot of Old barn wood that is Ash. Is ash a suitable wood to make a bow out of?

Yes, ash is a good bow wood (depending on the sub-species), so long as the moisture content has never gotten so low as to make it too brittle to bend.
