Extremely disappointed with this junk. Loosest and flimsiest cheaply made sight I’ve ever had. Screws have backed out constantly over and over until using loctite. Barely tightened one set screw and it broke in half. Then realized that also the entire flimsy housing jiggles, flexes and moves around by barely touching it. Can’t believe they kind of money I paid for this garbage. Anyone experience similar issues?

I was a little disappointed in the play in the scope base I guess you would call it, and the axis adjustments are a pain in the arse. That said once it is set I have never had anything come loose or brake, did you use an individual key to adjust or a multi keyed tool? Using a tool with a handle on small screws is an issue!

I just like the lighter weight the sight is compared to similar sights.

Just used the individual keys that came with it. A bow tech messed with it when it was in the shop leveling the axis’ but he is very experienced and wouldn’t expect him to mess the sight up.
So many solid reviews which is why I got one, might just have got a bad one. Any suggestions on other top end rock solid sights?

It is a great sight, has been my favorite 3D sight bar. I do prefer hogg father for a hunting sight but its a cinder block and micro adjust is clunky =) If you can pick up a used accutouch here for a deal its a good move. That said, i wouldn't order one new, the Landslyde is replacing it. I ordered one as soon as Lancaster made them available on backorder. Has some nice features and metal sight tapes are great for those of us with too many bows and want to move sights between rigs =D

It sounds like most responding in here have had some solid accutouch sights. Good reviews were the reason I bought it. After my problems with it I did see some reviews with similar issues. Don’t know what to think and don’t want to totally trash a potentially good product but will be definitely trying something else.

Same here except I use the Axcel scopes. I also own a couple of Achieves. No issues there either.

i have done really well with my achieve and accutouch sights. I have never had an issue with an Axcel, and if a screw broke I would be talking to them about that. I don’t however like there scopes out of the box but after adding rheostat covers to the scope housing it works for me. Other scopes out of the box IMO are much better. I love the fast eddie set up from spot hog and I really like how they give you different size rings to go on the scope. They are also built like tanks, little heavy but hearty.

Anyway, sorry your having trouble with it and hope you find something that works for you.

I have 2 of them, no issues at all. I know several other people using this sight without the problems you described. They sound self inflicted. Axcel's Customer Service is 1st class though so send it in I am confident they will make it right. I sent a scope in expecting to pay, they fixed it and paid to mail it back to me free of charge for anything.

depends which version you have, the original accutouch would come loose on the 3rd axis set screws. I also had the scope mount come loose a few times and start sliding. i also called axcel about it and they told me it was user error, then they immediately came out with an updated mounting block with a different design.

its also widely known the original carbon achieve would vibrate itself loose pretty often. they addressed it with the XP model.

I own an accutouch slider and a SH Fast Eddie on different bows.

The SH, as to be expected from SH, is solid and bombproof. The Axcel is also very well built and I like that the tape is on the left side at 45*.

The accutouch while not as rugged as the SH is still a solid sight. I like the microadjust on the scope housing (accustat II) and the slider locks down solid. You can customize the resistance as well which is a neat feature.

The Spot Hogg's pin adjustments are a total pain in the ass and not precise at all. Very difficult to microadjust. That said, once locked in, they're as solid as it gets.

For those reason, the accutouch is on my 3D bow where precision is the primary mission, and the Fast Eddie is on my hunting bow where beating through brush or falling in a creek is an eventual certainty.

Thanks for all the feedback, good and bad! I am working with the dealer I bought it from to get it sent in to Axcel. I realize my initial comment sounded like I was bashing them. Not my intention but frustrating to buy a 400$ sight and have a crazy amount of issues within three months. From this forum and quite a few other threads I’m definitely not the only one. Especially when my 100$ black gold lasted through 5 years of abuse, a heap of backpack hunts, and never moved on me once.
