I have a 4 pin Driver with Accustat II scope on order with the .010 pins expexted to ship ina couple of weeks. But untill recent I've never owned an Axcel sight; I just bought an Accutouch that has a .019 pin in an AX41 scope. I think think the .019 looks small, so I'm concerned that the .010 will be too small.
From all the pictures I can find, a single pin .019 in an AX scope looks to be equal to a .010 pin in and Accustat II scope. Does a .019 pin look the same in both types of scopes? Can someone who has had both pins and scopes wiegh in on this thought? Does anyone have a good picture of an Accustat II scope that has both .010 and .019 pins so I can see the difference?
If not, does anyone know if the size of the pin's blade is the same thickness in the Accustat II regardless of which fiber size is picked. I'm thinking that if they are and if so then what's the point of a .010 pin fiber if the blade thickness will block out a distant target the same as a .019 fiber would do?
I hope someone can help me before my order ships so thta I can change my order to .019 if what im thinking is accurate. However, from all the posts I'm seeing I'm sure I'll have no problem trading my .010 for .019 pins even if it means sacrificing my 4 pin scope for a 3 or 5 pin one.
BTW, I primary hunt the dark rain forest in Washington's coast but intend to do more 3D with the same sight. This is also why im thinking a .010 will be too small for me.
