Ok so while its not necessarily a DIY project, I had some time to tinker and it turned out rather good. As with target bows, they have multiple locations for stabilizers and weights and whatever else you want to throw on a bow. Well our hunting bows need to be just as accurate, and if we can make it as accurate why not? I like others with this Bear Approach HC do not have the luxury of extra stabilizer locations, but we do have factory jig holes to take advantage of :)

I started with an Apex Gear Dual Stabilizer mount that you can buy multiple places.

I then took the adjustable arm off of it and took the hex bolts out and set aside. I had a short berger bolt from an old arrow rest laying around so i put a rubber washer on it and inserted it through the riser in what i would call next to a perfect fit. One of the adjustable arms from the stab mount screws on to the berger bolt and again has a rubber washer over the teeth of the arm to avoid scratching the riser. I had a couple small bushing laying around from something or somewhere and screws that fit but you could also attach them with a small enough nut and bolt. The only thing I want to do is cut the berger bolt into a triangle shape so it fits into the riser, or maybe Bear would be able to provide me one????

I figured by utilizing that hole in the riser, you would be able to use a shorter stabilizer on the rear such as a 6" bar with whatever you run out front, i have a 10" front bar. But thats for you to decide what works best for you. I like getting that weight as far back and as low as I can for better stability. It may not be something special, but hey, its not stupid if it works ;)
