So I bought a used Ben Pearson 7120 varsity recurve for my 13 yo son to try. It says 60" 35#@ 28". It needs a string. What do I need? Will a Flemish string work?

Any flemish or endless loop string will work, but the bow originally came with an endless loop.
Knowing a little about that bow, you're probably looking at a 57" actual length or a 60" AMO 12 strand Dacron string.
Normally we'd go for a 56" Dacron string, but IIRC, the recurves on that bow are fairly shallow.
That's the best guess I have, just shoot for a 7.5" brace height for starters.
great advice there for a recurve bowstring Usually 4" shorter would work but first hand knowledge is always best when it comes to recurve bowstrings
