I’m looking around at some used target bows for 3D . I have had several different bows over the years and a few are still that “ good ole bow” that I should have kept. Just curious of others peoples “ good ole bow “.....

For 3D, you want something "fast enough" and 32-38" ATA... My suggestion is take what ever bow you have now, hit a few local events and strike up conversations with other shooters. Ask them how/why they chose the bow they're shooting.... In most cases, folks might even let you try them. This is a HUGE part of the marketing strategy for my shop... I go to events talk to folks and show off my bows.

Dale and I don't usually end up on the same side of these discussions but he has a very valid point.... "What I like, you might hate."

When you have specific bow in mind, then come back here an seek input on that particular bow. A generic question like you asked is way to broad for anyone to give you valid advice without knowing more information.

The one that you are comfortable with. It really is as simple as that.

For me, it's a TRX 40 for any kind of target. Sure, there are faster bows, and bows with more tuning options, but I shoot the best scores with this boat anchor in my hands (using an Engage grip). That's what counts. I know how capable the bow is and it never lets me down. I have tried fancy new bows and messing about with stuff, but have come back to the TRX40 as the best bow for me. That's why I now have a few of them :)
