Best arrow holder for trad

So, I’m fairly new to traditional archery and started hunting with my longbow this season. The first thing I realized is just how much I need something to hold my arrow on the shelf while simply holding the bow or to keep it steady when taking the bow off the holder.

Speaking of bow holder, let’s get those suggestions as well. Everything I used for compound is simply too short for my longbow.

Back on subject, what the best arrow holder? I want something quiet and that’s as low profile as possible.

Thanks!

I prefer the Saunders Kwik Lok Arrow Holder. I've used them on my hunting bows for decades.

I prefer the Stop the Drop holder. Got it off Big Jims, I had a bow that came with the one Jim suggest above, but it was a stiff enough hold on on the arrow that if you don't have a really tight fitting nock ( in my experience) you had to pinch the arrow to keep it from coming off the string as you drew it back. As I shoot 3 under, this didn't work for me.
I got a stop the drop and the rubber is a LOT more pliable, it still holds my 600 grain arrows on while they're upside down and sideways, but releases as soon as I start to pull the string back - and it comes with 2 stick on pieces so you can swap it between bows. If you get rid of a bow you can use dental floss to get the disc off and then some 3M VHB tape to put it on another.

Stole this idea from jason samkoviak....spelled that wrong (sorry bro)

1/8" gasket rubber (home depot toilet and sink repair section), double sided sticky tape, and super glue since the tape has a hard time sricking to the rubber.

Ordering the one pictured above is better but I was impatient.

Interesting. I never used one in over half a century of hunting. I always have my bow in my hand or in my lap, even when I used tree stands.....or just stood on a limb back in the day.
They've been around a while old timer.
Personally I don't use one. I just hold mine in my hand or lap cause I'm an old timer too. [emoji23]

Oh, I've known of them, matter of fact I sold them and even put some on other bows when we had our archery shop back in the 70's and 80's. I just never used them myself since I'm both lazy, and I like to be ready for a shot, not unhooking my bow from a limb or hanger. :)
