We do all of you consider the best index finger release for hunting, not necessilarity the most expensive?

Something adjustable with minimal play and limited trigger travel, decent strap, adjustable for reach and trigger weight and travel. The other important issue is to find a solid consistent anchor, I always tended to find I struggled because I was trying to match 2 "rounded" surfaces against each other (back of hand on to corner of jaw bone),

And finally watch how much you are cupping your hand, especially under pressure people tend cup their hand more than normal and find that suddenly they can't reach the trigger the way they normally do !

Of the old and maybe still made;
I have the Scott Mongoose single caliper that is golden. I used it for competition and did very well. Now regulated to just hunting and it gets the job done. Only has travel adjustment, but I'm use to it. Any of the Scott Goose models should be great.
I have the TRU Ball Cyclone with sensitivity adjustment. Used it a couple of times to kill a deer and coyote. Felt great.
I also have a Tru-Fire Hurricane that proved great.
All of the above have swivel heads.
All of the above also have velcro straps - no buckle hole to stretch out.

Check some of the releases given in other posts and your billfold might ache....

I have shot a Winn Flight for so long, nothing else feels right to me. I have tried a bunch, but keep going back to what feels natural for me. I don't think they are the best, just what feels good to me. Good luck
Ches.

carter like mike has an excellent trigger with hardly any creep that can be made heavy....but you have to cock it as it is 2 stage

carter quickie 1 plus is a nice and short (like mike is long) regular sear release that i use to hunt

i train with a nockon backstrap

Truball execution or execute. I think the execute is more refined but its a closed jaw set trigger release. Not the best in rush situation but then again those are the situations we try to avoid. I had one scenario where my hand was super cold and lacked dexterity. It didn't cost me a good shot but it didn't help either. By far the most refined index i have ever used. New stan strike x looks nice, on paper the trufire exert should be awesome but i find trufire to be questionable with their quality.
