Okay guys I'm in the market for a new arrow. I'm liking the black eagle carnivors. My problem is every spine chart is telling me to use .350. That's I think 7.5 gpi for the arrows I want. I was trying to get a heaver arrow. My question is can I get away using the 300 spine or do I need to get the 350 and figure out a way to add a lot of waight up front of the 350 spine? My set up is an elite gt500 at 28 inch draw shooting 65 pounds. Gonna try to bump it up to 70 pounds. Thanks

Get the Black Eagle Rampages in .300 spine and then add a 50 Grain Brass HIT insert. You will get high FOC and not be overly stiff on the spine.

You dont need outserts with the Rampage arrows if you use the Easton Brass HIT. Steves Archery Arrows and many other places can order them for you or you can get them from Black Eagle yourself.

Yes you can get bare shafts. Brass hits can be bought through Lancaster archery or any other larger archery store prices vary quite a bit so check around.

Think you will be underspined with a .350 spine and the 50 grain Brass HIT inserts on your set up but that is just a guess on my part because I do not have OT2. I would call Steve at Steves Archery Arrows and get him to run your numbers in OT2. I shoot 72 lbs and use the .300 spine arrows cut to 28.75" and am just about perfectly spined.

black eagle has some great customer service guys. i'm shooting the carnivores with 20gr weights on the back of the inserts in 350spine. they weigh out around 373 for me. which is were i wanna be exactly because this is my dual purpose hunting and 3d arrow. havent chrono'd yet with them but should be around 311ish
