Hey guys what other models of s pincast reels are you using besides the MUZZY xd. I've heard of people using zebco 808 and synergy 20. Any other suggestions of reviews on the two I mentioned?

That is pretty much it. There is an "808 Bowfisher" but it isn't worth any extra price over the regular 808. Just get what is on sale and get a few of them. I view Zebco and Synergy spincasts as disposable equipment. Might last a few shots, a few trips, or a season. The Muzzy is gonna be the best quality for sure.

Agreed. You just heard it from the expert.
Muzzy has refined these reels for many years with improvements specifically for bowfishing. They went to a Stainless pick up pin about 10 years ago which is a big improvement over the older ones. Great reel. That said, if you fish it hard, they wear out....these aren't $500 Shimano saltwater reels

Zebco 808s are Crap! They just ain't hold up, even the bowfisher.
Other than the Muzzy, Robin is right. Synergy Ti 20 or if you can find them, the regular old Synergy (yes the gold one with the plastic foot).
What's funny is we bowfish a ton and I've broken a lot of reals, including every Muzzy we've had. The only reels I've used I've never broke, the regular old cheep Synergy (not the Ti).

Anybody got a pic of that muzzy reel next to another one. It looks like a Zebco Delta or Omega. If it is it has a better drag than the 808 but lacks in size a bit.

Both 808's are the same except the line that comes on it.

Myself I would get that ti20 for 12 bucks. They have a better drag than the 808. I always fish w/ the anti-reverse off then engage it later. Take some wear and danger out of it if its not disengaged when you shoot.
