Cabela's Stalker Xtreme Arrows aka Beman ICS Discontinued?

Hi Everyone,

For many years now I've been shooting Cabela's Stalker Xtreme arrows which are just underpriced Beman ICS Hunters. Well it looks like they are discontinuing them. Cabela's only has a few left (with feather fletchings) and Beman doesn't look like they have the ICS Hunters available anymore either on Lancaster or anywhere.

So I've got to switch brands. I've got the Total Archery Challenge coming up and having only nine arrows isn't going to cut it!

Anyone else encounter this issue yet? What did you switch to? I don't need my arrows to be super high end but don't want junk either. I'm thinking Carbon Express Mayhem? or Gold Tip Velocity?

Iiuc easton killed beaman and is consolidating all their arrows under the easton name.

This may explain why that arrow is no longer sold, its likely that cabelas will need to craft a new contract with easton or some other vendor.

Fwiw i was never in love with the beaman ics arrows. They were tough and flew fine, but for the same money you can get a more advanced arrow from carbon express. Imvho The only reason cx isnt more popular is really just the fact that they are made in Korea vs easton which is made here in the us.

Look at the Easton 6.5mm arrows. I think you will like them.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'm leaning towards the Gold Tip XT Hunters. They seem a bit larger, but otherwise fairly equivalent to what I have been shooting. Same exact weight, so if I'm really lucky I won't need to re-sight in.

It does seem that since the merger Cabelas/Bass Pro is heading downhill fast.

FWIW, I have XT Hunters and ICS Hunters and they are both great arrows IMO. You could probably still stock up on ICS Hunters from ebay. Another good arrow would be the Victory VAP 245 Gamers.

Bass Pro. We had a BP and a Cabela’s a few miles apart. They closed the Cabelas mid January and say they are enlarging BP to accommodate both brands, but I suspect they are gonna drop the Cabelas brand. I really liked Cabela’s branded stuff, they stood behind it. The Redhead stuff is crap, and a lot of the tracker stuff is too. I bought a $499+ trolling motor (Tracker). Within 2 years it needed a replacement part. Bass pro did not even have a parts list, and could not get parts. Chinese junk. So I tossed a $499 trolling motor that probably didn’t have 50 hours on it.

Victory arrows are made in Tijuana, MX with their corporate offices nearby in the San Diego area.

Easton is closing the Beman plant. If you look on Easton's webpage, they still have the ICS Hunters under the 6.5mm tab. It looks like they just changed the cresting on the arrow.
I still have 10 ICS Hunter classics, once I start getting low, I'm going to the Easton 5mm Axis.
