How would it be stupid for him to go PSE? He had a video last month about shooting a few bows: Hoyt, Mathews and PSE. He also talked about how he was displeased with Hoyt not being willing to make him a 90lb bow.

I think I saw it on IG. Either way, him going to another manufacturer wouldn’t be unprecedented. And going PSE certainly wouldn’t be stupid. We’ll see what happens, I guess.

I’d really like to know if this is true or what the situation is. Based off of that post it seems like at the very least they don’t appreciate or value him highly which is a shame. The comment about him going to PSE might happen but we all know he’s gonna go to Bowtech Hahahah. I dont think it’s true though as this would be a horrible mistake on Hoyts part.

Haven’t seen him with the new bows and saw this on his story.

Yes, they weren’t following each other. Probably changed after he posted that story.

Who knows, just thought it was weird. Unusual to post a conversation about your major sponsor in a negative light. Also no promos with the new bows which is equally unusual.

I noticed that story too. Last year he was posting the new Hoyts as soon as they were released. Id bet he will go PSE following Rogan and Dudley.

Maybe I'm the odd man out, but celebrity hunters only make me dislike a brand more. That goes for rifle and camo companies too. There's a lack of sincerity in their promotions of product, and they're more focused on self-promotion than being honest.

 

Lots of people look up to Hanes, Dudley, and Morgan and their sponsors sell a ton of bows because of them.

 

Look, if you like him, fine. I don’t care for the guy. He is a bit of a blowhard to me. If that offends anybody, I really don’t care. It’s my opinion of a guy, I met and didn’t like his behavior.

I guess I just don’t get it, who cares what bows other guys shoot ? Sounds like a sausage worship thing to me. But seriously, why does it matter ?

 

I dont care what brand he shoots but it is interesting that, if he did in fact leave, hoyt is has dropped arguably the 2 most influential bow hunters in recent years. Guess its like any big company - drop the senior guys who have big salaries and have the young hungry guys do the same work for cheap.

Still curious how there are "names" in bowhunting. I mean, it's hunting. How does anyone know?

Cam Hanes is 10-ply

I used to follow Cam on Instagram (I’ve since deleted IG because it’s as cancerous as Facebook) and I made a comment to him about how many ads he includes in his posts for his sponsors and he immediately blocked me. Kind of threw me for a loop. He has this message of being physically and mentally strong...blocks a guy after one message, including no inappropriate language, about how I enjoy his content but not as much when the posts were overloaded with a focus on his sponsors. Very soft.

 

Anyone willing to pay to run behind another person for their name is a damn tool! I’m shocked and awed everytime I go to a tac event n see 100 pus@&$ following another man up a hill.

 

What is wrong if someone finds motivation to live healthier through example in this case hanes.

 

I’ve never payed any attention to what who is shooting. If anyone believes it’s about anything but $ think again. I guess a few may go with who will have their face plastered more on walls and TV. In my opinion, that’s what it will always be about. Frankly, I get it.

For me it’s the fact that they will shell out money to simply run behind the guy who won’t give them the time of day. To run! A free activity to anyone. But the tools literally pay to run behind him.

I think he’s good for the sport. Differnt than some but he got a lot of people involved that have a loud voice that help our cause. Yea he is a sell out. But he’s making a living off of it. I bet a lot would do the same.
