Hey,
What do you guys think of Walmart Carbon Express Arrows?

Gotta disagree....somewhat....They can be had at our Wal-Mart right now for around $3.00 each on sale and they can be cut, put a field tip on the the cut end, heat up and re-use the insert....I've done about 30 of em and they make great practice arrows. Keep in mind that they are a carbon composite, a little heavy but ok for the price if you can get them on sale. If you cant get them at a discount, the above reply is most true.....

I just bought 36 of them for $40.00 They still had them listed at $3.00 each and I told the guy if he made me a deal I would take them all. So he gave them to me for $1.25. Lots nicer to break or lose a $1.25 arrow then to lose one of my hunting arrows at over $10.00 each. So I will shoot a wal mart arrow for practice and be OK with it.

You mean the CX Terminators? :D

I don't use them, but I have a buddy that uses them (hunting, not 3D) pre-fletched and full length with an insert already in them. I know he does it for ease of use. If he needs another, he just goes to WalMart....

I will never do that. That's just b/c he is slowing down his bow and arrow b/c shooting a WAY overspined (or underspined) and WAAAAY too long arrow.

I like my stuff to be right.

It's your bow and your decision. You could buy the right spine and have them cut to the proper length, then install your inserts and you will be fine. But I would never shoot a pre-made arrow unless it just happened to be perfect length.

Oh yeah....I've tried to tell him, but he is stubborn and don't wanna listen. He kills alot of deer though...So, apparantly it works for him.

The store mgr has the authority to mark down whatever he feels is better left out of the dumpster. One of our Wal-Marts had them marked down, anothe one close by did not but the store Mgr. there did honor the discounted price at the other store once i proved it with a receipt. You can get the Terminator in two different spines and get them for around $3.00 each. i bought 29 4560's in camo for $87.00...cut them down to 27" and me and three other kids use them for practice. It keeps them from grabbing my Maxima's... They are a little heavy, shoot a little low, the vanes will come off occasionally but so what.....for the price, it's a good shake! You can say what you want and disect it any way you please, but for off season shooting, they are just fine. My 2 cent....:)

Walmart,LOL

Walmart and the archery department, if you buy your arrows from there where are you going to get your bow work done or arrows cutoff. I dont think they have a pro shop, you should try and buy from your local pro shop.

The arrows they carry are probably the cheapest carbon express make, just my 2 cents.

A few years back, I bought some Carbon Express kids arrows at K-mart for 29 cents an arrow! I bought all they had! :D They are the kids arrows with the glued on point. Can't go wrong with that price.

Heck you can't buy a stamp for that price! :D Good deals can be found somedays!

Nothing wrong with the arrows there at Wally World, if it gets you and the kids out shooting, what harm is coming from that? Maybe a sore butt from your wallet having all the extra cash in it you saved! :D LOL!!

Should be near the broadheads, game calls & other archery stuff.

That's sad when you know Wal-Mart this well............LOL

I don't usually buy hunting stuff from there, b/c none of my stuff is sold there. But it's still fun to look around if you're bored.

I DO buy alot of my fake worms and fishing lures from there, though.

I have a vieew on the whole arrow issue. I have gone thru this with many of the guys i hunt with, tell me what you think:

Okay it is an arrow from walmart, you save money. You can have them cut done to the length you like at say gander.
In my view, and its one mans view, i know some guys have to have the top knoch stuff bow-arrow-broadheads-realease--sights, etc.

Remember years ago the bows did not shoot as fast as they do today and they used wooden arrows and some of the biggest deer i have saw were killed back then.

As with the way money is for people today if you want to hunt and have to go cheap on certain things here and there to be able to go and enjoy doing something you love then you must do what you can, no matter if guys you hunt with tease you and say things like yeah that arrows gonna bounce off the deer good luck.....

I bought alum arrows at the begining of last hunting season and got rassed all year until i had no choice but to buy carbon due to went to a 3d and wasted 5 of 6 alum. But the guy i shot with had top of the line carbon and also hit the same spot i did and blew the heck out of his also.

Point:
Get what you can afford and enjoy the time in the woods and dont try to keep up with the jones's, their pockets might be deeper then yours......

I agree.....Problem is, it's opposite for me and my buddy. He has deeper pockets than I do.....but he doesn't see a point in "all that fancy crap" (according to him). So I just quit discussing it with him and let him do his own thing...and I do mine. If he kills something, good for him. If I kill something with all my "fancy crap", good for me. LOL

i do agree, and i always wish for everyone to knock one down.

Times are very tough out here also, i got a buddy who works for apple, and he alwasy talks about this cost me that and i got this, and it just gets old after a while, thats why when i hunt i get what i can afford and if its not top noch AND YOU WANNA POKE FUN---- then sorry but dont hunt with me,,,,

Here is a food for thought. First they are not the highest quality arrow, second where do you think they dump all there arrows that don't make spec????????, third most guys I see buying arrows in discount stores have no clue what arrow will actually match their set up(opinion)

Hey,
I know I asked the ?. But I thought I'd let you know what I think of Walmart carbon express arrows. I have been shooting them for the past 7 to 8 years and found them to be very dependable. As far as accuracy goes I was very surprised that they were! I have had countless robin hoods with them (which my son doesn't like, his arrows hit). All in all cheap but good enough.

dig a little deeper for a thread next time, the guy that posted this probably forgot by now.
