CBE Engage Micro Hybrid

I have been wrestling back and forth between the "Fast Eddie" and the "CBE Engage Micro Hybrid". Normally I would just go with the Spot Hogg, but there are a couple features that have me highly considering the CBE.

1. The CBE is lighter than the fast Eddie

2. I like the metal sight tapes. Not a deal breaker but I like the metal look better

3. I like the CBE micro adjustment pin system.

Does anyone out there have the CBE who can give me some real world feedback and review info?

I am coming from a Trophy Ridge React Pro 1 pin. I like the sight overall, but had durability issues this hunting season. I want something solid and durable along with quality micro adjustment.

Thanks!

The engage micro is not a slider, you're thinking of the engage hybrid pro.

I have both the fast eddie XL double pin and engage hybrid pro 3 pin with the dovetail. Durability goes to the spot hogg. No issues with the CBE but the fast eddie feels more solid.

LOVE the metal tapes on the cbe. If you dont calibrate 100% you can bump tapes up or down a number in a second and get it perfect.

The only real negative to the CBE is that (im pretty sure) its made in china.

So I have been using a Fast Eddie for about two years. I have used the regular and XL version. It is a great sight. I love the double pin, double pointer. I don't love the way the scope housing interfaces with the sight. It's a round rod which can twist and screw up the first axis. It hasn't been a big deal but it has moved on me a couple times even when the screws are tightened beyond what I am comfortable with. That's really the only negative I have for the fast Eddie. I like the normal version over the XL if that matters.

Now, I just mounted the CBE engage hybrid to my Helix Ultra. I went from mounting to totally sighted in, in about a half hour. It was fast. I really like the pins, they are very bright without washing out and the micro adjustment is fantastic. The machining is as good or better than anything I have tried and it's solid. I like the size of the scope housing and florescent ring is easy to acquire. I was worried that metal sight tapes wouldn't be as accurate as puting a tape on there but it proved to be very accurate after following all the instructions.

I still am partial to the sight picture that the Fast Eddie gives with the single vertical post, but I am going to give the CBE engage hybrid a run for whitetail this season.

I have both, go with the CBE.

You have 3 reasons already, what does the eddie has that you want?

Far as I know CBE scopes have more options...could be wrong tho... For me the weight alone is enought to go with CBE

The Spot Hogg has reputation for reliability. There isn't a whole lot of info out there on the CBE. I like the features CBE and maybe I will take the plunge and go for it. I am always overly analytical before buying things...

Well it's heavy for a reason. It's built tough, but CBEs dont have any reputation for being unreliable either.

I lied, Dont have the eddie, thought I did, I have the Hogg father, which is a little heavier.
