Okay im down to like 2 1/2 card cameras (one takes notions as to if it should work or not so it's the yard deer camera.). Im probably going to get some cell cams before next season and was curious what others like and don't like. Post up the pros and cons.

All I’ve owned is Spartan and I love them. Going to buy a 3rd soon. No experience with any others so can’t help too much.

I enjoy getting pics immediately. I also like seeing what’s there without spreading my sent going in and checking sd cards. Only downfalls are they do miss some pics and if u don’t have good service in your area they won’t send pics. Tactacam reveals are great cams

I purchased my first cell cam this year. Moultrie Edge. I like it. Been running regular batteries in in since April 1st and still have 53% left (it has taken about 5500 pics). Pics are great, very few without deer in them, and plan is cheaper than most from what I saw. Cam is easy to use and set up. I recommend. Good luck to you!

This is the one I have heard good things about over the past year and am considering for 2024.....^^^^^

I have three in the woods at present.....an earlier model Spartan Go-cam, a Gen 1 Tactacam Reveal and a Bushnell Cellucore 20. I purchased the Spartan used here on AT and it has been a very solid unit, although setup and such is the least intuitive. It takes 12 AA batteries, but they last about six months and it checks in most every day....whether there is a new photo or not. The plan is also more challenging, so I ended up leaving the Spartan in place year around and just paying every three months for the cell plan.

The Reveal is the best of the three as far as I am concerned. You can easily put it on "suspend" mode at the end of season using the app and then restart it in the summer without a hitch. I get very few 'blank' photos due to wind, but it does pick up small creatures such as squirrels, birds, possums, etc. The photos are pretty good quality and battery life has beey very good. I shut mine off the end of December and go pick up up on our property my next visit up.....been chugging along like a Timex for a few years.

The Bushnell Cellucore 20 I have now is my second one, as the first lasted a year and kind of went to pot over the winter during the off-season in the basement. A small wire broke getting the batteries out. so I took the antenna and strap and tossed it for the cost. Photos are OK, service is solid and setup is pretty easy. I got the current one on sale the end of season, or I would have likely been done with this model after the first one went belly up on me.

I now have two Tactacam Reveal X's (one Pro), One Covert, and One Bushnell Cellucore 20. I'm running solar panels on all of them and they all work great. The pics on the Bushnell are much better than the Tactacam's. The Covert (not sure which model) has just performed as good as you could want and has never failed, not even once. I just traded my cousin two fence post feeders for two more tactacam Reveal X's. One never worked correctly from the start, and the other is brand new still in the box. The Tactacam's send many pics of animals of all sorts, even little birds that enter into the area. The pics are just average in daylight and below average at night, unless the animals are within about 10 yards. I still have 10 traditional game cameras in use and they all take better pics than any of the cell cams. If I pull the cards on the cell cams, the pics are much better. But, since the pics are usable for my intended application, they will work since I don't have to worry about having to go and pull cards very often.

Wise eye. Used to run Tactacam and the cameras worked fine but the cell image sent was AWFUL.... I know the sent image isn't as clear as the image saved to card, but isn't that why we want cell cams is to not check the cards? Wise eye is the only camera out that sends you a full megapixel image to your phone. Like I said Tactacam is a good camera, but sent image quality it's not even close to Wise eye.

I've got about 2.5 years continuous use a tactacam with no issues. Had a browning cell cam that a liked a bit better but it crapped out after a couple years in the woods. When that happened I found a bushnell cellucore 20 for $50 @ midway. It's been OK. Better resolution pics than the tactacam but doesn't have the range. You need deer to get closer for it to trigger. But since July it's been OK.

I'm running 4 Spypoint LINK-MICRO-S-LTE trailcams. Why? Spypoint gives you 100 pictures per cam free each month with no data plan required; you can buy a data plan for more pictures. Since my cams typically take more than 100 pictures a month per cam, I went and joined their Insider's Club for $100 which ups your free pictures to 250. And if you need more than that, the club gives you a 20% off discount on additional plans.

I have an original spartan go cam and several tacticams. For the money im going with tacticams. Their $120 one works perfectly fine for me. I will say my Spartan is alota years old now and has taken just a few pics.. lol.. So, the longevity is there for the spartan for sure.

I use Tactacam Reveal X and X Pro, Bushnell Cellucore 20, and a Covert as of right now. The Cellucore takes the best pics day and night. The Covert just keeps on working and sending above average day and night pics. The Tactacam's are working just fine, but the pic quality on the sent pics could be better and you have to pay an additional fee for HD pics to be sent. I run Solar chargers/panels on all of my cell cams and so far I haven't had to replace the batteries (still 100%) since I put them up in August.

I've been running 8 Spypoint Link Micros for two seasons. Overall, they are really great. Small, OK day and night pics but not great over 20 yds. Needs more megapixals. Pictures only, no video. Great battery life. I set of alkalines last all season taking 250 pics/month and sending pics 1/day. I set it to send immediate if chasing a buck. That sucks battery, just dont leave it there. They have warrantied 2 cams of the 3 that have broken. One melted where the IR bulb is. One had a battery leak, not their fault but replaced. The 3rd had a contact on the inside of the cam fall off. It was out of 2 yr so no replacement. They are cheap at $75 each, $100/2 sometimes. But don't expect them to last more than 2 years. I'm looking to upgrade image quality. The new Spypoint LM2s have more resolution and video. So If I stay with SpyPoint, Ill buy LM2s next time.
