Not lecturing on predator control, lecturing on the feeble minded use of SSS. I support predator control and have guys kill coyotes here on my property. I also believe a rancher should be able to kill predators to protect his livestock and not be constrained by the law. Wildlife management shouldn't influenced by anti-hunting organizations. Also ranchers should insure their livestock for compensation and not rely on the government for compensation, though get the compensation if available from their state or federally. Glad you love how I lecture.

I don't disagree with you.

But.

Why make this change and why make it during the current season?

If April as said is low take. And, as they said electronic calls don't give advantage.
Why right that into the regulation and law?

Imo there is more behind this, and its just the beginning.

That's what I'm talking about. We obviously have the money, it's about time we spend it where it really matters before it's too late. This has become a 100% political issue. This predator protection craze is the anti hunters number 1 weapon and they are using it quite well because hunters don't unite to fight them. They only care when it affects them personally.

We've recently started a group in Minnesota just this fall, Hunters for Hunters. After many public meetings that have attracted large crowds, the media and politicians have taken notice. Many state reps have attended the meetings. Enough that Congressman Stauber from Minnesota and Congressman Tiffany from Wisconsin are hosting their own public legislative listening session on wolf predation next week. Tiffany has a bill moving through congress right now to federally delist the gray wolf. Without the previous meetings held by H4H that garnered all the media attention, this meeting would have never happened. We are nothing on our own, politicians take notice when a group is getting attention in the media. It doesn't cost a ton of money to do this.

We have absolutely had enough of this BS in Minnesota and we are finally organizing and fighting back. Should have happened 20 years ago when things were really getting out of control. It's a complete disaster now.

Colorado, a victim of the eastern migration of CA politics. It’s going to happen in Idaho and other conservative strongholds. I give it 30 years and Texas will be flipped.

We are our own worst enemy when it comes to fighting the anti’s agenda.

hopefully the biologists get to step in when the elk herds get decimated and some hikers get attacked.

This is exactly what happened the last time Colorado stopped hunting for mountain lions. :ROFLMAO:

Approximately, 12 to 14 years ago, there was a huge migration of people from the L.A. California area to the Denver area. That population holds the majority vote and they decided that killing the "pretty cats" in the mountains was a bad idea. So, they voted it out. Well, about 3 years later that "pretty cat" population exploded and they started running down hikers and mountain bikers on trails. :sneaky: People were getting mauled pretty bad and crying about it.

They were reminded of how they were the ones that voted it out and it needed to be managed. You can't have it both ways! You don't have to hunt mountain lions or like hunting of mountain lions....BUT, if someone doesn't hunt mountain lions they're going to start preying on their easiest target/meal. That just happens to be the tree huggin' bunny lover types, that voted to stop the hunting in the first place. (y):ROFLMAO:
Well....looky here....we're right back to square one. ;)

The antis are not only organized but have tons of $$$$ to back up their aims. It would shock you to discover the celebrities who back up the anti organizations. Ever notice the ads for the puppies and kitties, asking for $19 a month? Look at their organization and their negative stance on hunting.

That’s why I’m moving. I hate it here now and how it’s become. Writing has been on the wall for years in regards to hunting. Eliminate spring bear and hounds l, introduce wolves, and now no lion hunting.

Oh and actually as of January 1st plastic bags are illegal, as in you can’t even pay the stupid 10 cent tax to get them. But I get groceries in Wyoming where I work so they give me plenty of earth killing plastic bags, so many that I get the urge to just throw them out of my car as I drive through Fort Collins. (Joking of course)

It's a sham. Guess what the 70 cent per reusable bags are made out of? Plastic. How many flimsy pastic bags does it take to make one of 70 cent ones? I don't know exactly but a reasonable guess would be 20.

I am considering moving from here also. Money makes the rules and the libs apparently have access to a lot of it. Polis is worth about 450 million by himself.

I hate it because my grandkids are here.

What you all refuse to understand is this is purely the fault of we hunters. We are solely to blame so one else
First is the its our right so ***k them if they don’t like it. I am talking about social media photos and bragging and celebrating
Second and maybe the biggest is the industries greed and commercialized hunting shows none of them show hunting they show glorified killing with bait and fences and farm raised deer. Now Anti hunters and hunters alike depend on the support of non hunters well every day I hear more and more people who don’t hunt comment on some show they watched and they are disgusted and claim it was not hunting and they are against what they saw
Third most who belong to the so called hunting community refuse to believe that community relations is a necessary thing today

It's 100% political and the anti's get noticed and get all the media attention because they present as a group. Politicians don't care about things unless it hits the media and the media rarely cares if it's just individuals. Facts don't matter either. One person presenting facts can't compete with a well organized group even if the facts support your position entirely and the well organized group has no facts to support them. You need numbers and those numbers need to be as a group before anything will change. The anti's know this and exploit it well. Politics is driving wildlife management in too many places today but if you're going to fight back and win you need to employ the same tactics or you won't even get noticed. The ugly truth.

Yep, the antis are far more organized than we hunters are and they are winning because of that. The wolves are going to have a HUGE impact compared to everything else combined once they get established out there. Living the nightmare scenario here every day.

Colorado hunters need to unite and get organized TODAY, not next year or 5 years from now.
