I recently ordered the large alert buck pro series target from Delta Mckenzie and its got full plastic legs. is this a new thing they started doing to make the targets last longer and hold straight up better?

McKenzie went with plastic legs years ago. A lot of complaints came, especially those used on the ASA ProAms.
Just looked in the Lancaster catalog and lots of the Delta/McKenzie 3D targets have plastic legs - called Pinnacle targets.
