I made a post the other day about bow slings. I had several great suggestions. I decided what I wanted which was light, minimalist build, strong, and fast to put on and take off. I used paracord with a cobra weave for the main strap and nite ize 75lb slide lock carabiners. I removed the slide lock as I didn’t want to fuss with that in the dark or when my hands get cold. I then took marine shrink tubing and put over the carabiners to prevent noise and marks on the bows finish. I also added the tubing over all exposed knots to insure they never come undone or get frayed. Obviously you can’t shoot with it on. It is strictly for transport. Hope this helps someone else out!

Looks great! regarding the paracord knots, you can melt the knots and ends with a lighter so they seal for the added protection of them never coming untied/frayed.
I like how you have the shrink tubing on the carabiner to reduce noise. Looks very nice on carabiners and where you have them over the knots, it really cleans the look up!

This looks awesome! Thanks for sharing. This is a project I’ll be undertaking soon. One thought was what if you had at least one “climbing” carabiner for those situations where an old one is a little shotty or seized up from the offseason. Then you have a backup.
One thing to note is you could certainly get away with smaller carabiners if they can clip around your riser. Or you could tie some paracord loops on your riser and use small carabiners. I didn’t want anything hanging off the bow that isn’t needed. One main concern of mine was portability and when I get there stowing it. I think in 3D season you could have a sling like this and carry your bow around then take it off stick In your pocket or pouch quite easily.
You can probably shoot with it on. I’ve got a similar sling w/o the carabiners. I just pull a loop through the a bottom cutout in my riser and then loop it back over the limb. I’ve been doing it all spring/summer long and have confidence that it’s not going to pop out on me without a good tug.
