Do high end recurve sights come with a sight pin?

Hello everyone, I currently have a cheap sight for my recurve bow and I want to upgrade to a better, but also more expensive one. I looked at various online shops and I noticed that most of the high-end sights are pictured without a pin. Does this mean I have to buy one separately?

I know that a cheap or medium price sight is more than good enough, and I think about choosing the Shibuya Ultima 2 because it's cheaper than the top-of-the-line sights but probably still better than the one I have now.

The sight I have now becomes loose through vibration all the time and I can only use one or two extender marks closest to the riser because if I put it out to far, it wouldn't be straight but lean into the sight window and the sight bar isn’t vertical but slightly diagonal (it looks really weird, idk why)

Depends on the model, so do check in advance. But you can probably use the pin from your old sight and a new one isn't that expensive.

On most sights you can adjust the vertical elevation bar so it's parallel to the string. But rattling loose is always bad,

Depends on what you mean by a "sight pin". All sights will have some kind of pin. But I always buy a Tawant, because it makes the sight look like the pros. And comes colour coordinated.

Yes, most any sight will come with an aperture, and the type/design will vary from brand to brand.
Some "cheap" sights can actually be quite good, and others, not so much.
Usually with a better sight, the odds won having issues becomes less.
A sight than comes loose or has inconsistent adjustments, kind makes it next to useless.

Before you break the bank on a sight (or anything else), always check the used market. There are a lot of "obsolete" sights out there that hold up better than newer offerings.

Viper1 out.

That shibuya ultima 2will last you the rest of your life and comes with a sight pin. An older used ultima is also really nice. I have both. I bought the older ultima used and have shot it outdoors in weather for 6 years. It’s still perfect action and quiet.

I used a pos $35 Cartel sight for a few years about 5 years ago...it rattled loose about every 3 ends indoors and was a complete pain so I appreciate where you're at. I bought a used Axcel RX that included 2 apertures on here and haven't looked back! There are a few things not to go cheap on while you learn and risers and sights are the two big ones. A good sight should last you a lifetime. If you go new, yes you'll need to buy a sight pin/aperture.

I was told this as well by some people from my club, but when I went to the archery shop, the seller said the cheap sight and the medium-prised riser would be good enough. I also couldn't spend that much money because I still was under 18 at that time and my parents didn't want me to spend that much money back then.

Some do, some don't. Just look into it before ordering. For example, my Axcel came with the apertures but no pin. I had to order the pin in addition to the sight.

The Shibuya Ultima 2 is a top of the line sight. All versions and generations of the Shibuya Ultima are excellent, top of the line sights. Shibuya sights come with a ring aperture that has a red dot on a very thin post. The dot is easily removed. There are sights that are much more expensive, but that doesn't lessen the excellence of the Ultima. It's funny to me that the much more expensive Axcel sights don't appear to come with an aperture. There is a 100% chance that any Ultima sight will be immensely better than your current sight. I don't know why anyone would pass over the Ultima and spend more money on something else. If anyone has a reason, I'm interested in hearing it.

I know that the Shibuya Ultima is a very good sight, I just meant that it is not the most expensive in Shibuya's lineup, or on the market. Nevertheless, it is very good and would be more than good enough for me.
Ok great. I must have misread and then misunderstood when I believed your were saying the Ultima 2 is not a top of the line sight when you said the Ultima is cheaper than the top of the line sights and will probably be better than your current junky sight. Completely my fault for only using the words you posted to deduce what you were trying to say.

RafaelSchmafel, I apologize for forgetting that this an international forum with members who have many different mother tongues. I should not have used that negative tone in my response.
