I thought i read last year that the government passed a bill allowing e-bikes on all federal land.
Does this include game lands and also
Does anyone know if NC specifically allows them?
There are some very secluded game lands in Western NC that id love to get to faster.
I've read that some states allow them up to 750w.
I've been looking at the bakcou muke in 1000w but if NC doesn't allow 1000w I could settle for 750w
I've tried searching and I don't even know where to begin

First you need to identify what land you are interested in. There are no Federal lands that are identified as "game lands". There are BLM lands, National Forest Lands, Wilderness Areas, National Monuments, National Parks and probably more. What lands are you interested in. As to whether ebikes are allowed on all federal lands the short answer is no they are not. But there are some federal lands where they are allowed and some where they are allowed only on designated trails.

Have you ridden an ebike to personally classify it as a "motorcycle"? Most highways ban a motorcycle under 90cc's and an ebike is far less powerful than that. Some folks such as my hunting buddy have physical disabilities that require such a device for woods access to hunt. Would you deprive him of this option because you have drawn the line....based on your current level of fitness and wellbeing? Or should only the young and healthy be welcomed into the outdoors?

I would encourage everyone to do some research...there is a significant difference between and Ebike and motorcycle...there are different class bikes, there are some with throttle some with only pedal assist and that distinction is often included in State regulations.

I don’t know about NC, but it wouldn’t take too many clicks if the mouse or calls to the Governing agency of NC to find out.

A few searches that popped up...don’t see anything that dives in too deep, but you can look further

They are legal in a HELLUVA lot more places that most are saying they are. Provided they are 750w or less. In EVERY case, they are not considered a motorcycle if less than 750w. Educate yourselves before you spout stuff you dont even know anything about. The are not legal in ANY wilderness area, and neither is a regular bike. NO wheeled transport is legal in a wilderness area. Pisgah is a National Forest. Research National Forest if you are referring to those areas in NC>

Yea. Anytime I see your name pop up you accuse everyone of no research and how we should research before spouting off.

CLick my profile, search my replies. 100's of them. Anyone can see this isnt the case. Unless, its someone asking for honey holes to an area they have never been, without even bothering to post what efforts they have made to find out on their own merits. And i think there probably isnt more than 1 or 2 of those replies even.
