Omnia draw cycle is nice with the performance mods no need to switch them. I did try both mods on my Kure and didn’t really notice. Difference. I use the limbs stops too.

 

I shoot comfort mods on they Envision for indoor and I did notice a difference in the draw cycle over the performance mod

 

I'm considering an Era or Omnia.
Currently shooting a Hoyt RX7 and when I tried the Elites the draw wasn't as smooth as the RX7. Thus was curious about smooth mods. I dont care about the speed loss, so just was curious.

I also tried both on my Rezult 36 and did not notice any difference.

 

I ordered my Enkore with the smooth mods, when i bought it in 2021. I was able to shoot the Enkore and Remedy before buying and liked the smooth mods on the Remedy, so i went with those on the Enkore.

 

How are you liking the Enkore? I'm thinking about getting a 60# for Indoor/US archery and wanted to know how the draw felt compared to my 70# Kure.

 

I am a fan of the smooth mods. When I first shot the Omnia, it had performance mods on it. I didn't care for the draw cycle. Smooth mods felt outstanding. I am in my upper 50's, but the younger cats might be fine with the harsher draw.

 

I am 61 and hate to admit I like lower draw weight and smooth drawing bows. Don't remember the last time I shot through my chrono as I just don't care what my speed is. If smooth mods are smoother draw then that's what I want!

Have the smooth mods on an Enkore for about 4 months and am liking the draw over performance.

 

Don't read much about the Elite smooth mods. Are there not many people shooting them?

Probably not. They got caught up in the speed hype. Can’t give up that little loss in fps for a smoother draw cycle because the deer might jump that arrow. 😂.

 

All I can say is I don't have smooth mods on my Enkore and it is a very nice draw. If the smooth mods are better, they must be amazing.

I shoot the smooth mods in my Remedy and it is incredibly smooth. Love 'em

 

comfort mods on my Enkore felt smoother than the performance mods. FPS difference was only 3 or 4 fps. Well worth the difference for me.

 

I have smooth on my Omnia. Strange thing is there isn’t much of a speed drop.

I have shot both on the Omnia and Era side by side with each pair having both mods. For me there was a slight difference, I preferred the smooth mods and only 4-5fps slower. I would take the smooth draw all day long with that little difference in speed

 

Omnia and Enkore aren’t on the same level when it comes to smooth mods. I owned both bows. Smooth mod’s aren’t necessary with Enkore. The cam on the Omnia is much more aggressive and the smooth mods make a BIG difference. They are way better and still give you a 340ish bow. They are actually super comparable to the Enkore with performance mods. Very similar draw and very similar speed. Dumped my Omnia for other reasons but the cam draw and performance wasn’t one of them. In draw cycle relative to performance the Omnia smooth mods are only rivaled by PSE EC cams. They are superior to all other competitors. If only they had gotten the setup (relative to rub/tuning issues) right on the Omnia it would have been tough to beat.

 

I know the performance mods come standard on a bow. But if a person orders a bow, can you order with smooth mods?

I'm just looking at this post because I got a elite ethos recently, i love it the way it is with performance mods and was trying to see if it's worth spending the money and time putting on the smooth ones. Don't think i will after weighing all the reviews since it's already Mint

It has a lot to do with the type of draw cycle people prefer, the poundage and the DL. Any cam is going to feel "worse" at the longer DLs whereas most cams feel more smooth at the shorter DLs. A lot of things factor into the draw cycle and how each individual person interprets that draw cycle.

 

I tried both on my Era honestly could not tell an difference. I did lose 5fps with the smooth mods. I'm shooting 50lbs at a 28in. draw. So, I stuck with the performance mods. I have a Bowtech proven 34 as well and I’m shooting it with the performance.

 

I’m currently running smooth mods on my Verdict and performance mods on my Ethos. Draw cycle differs on the back end. The performance mods have a bit more of a dump compared to the smooth mods. I will say that the draw cycle on the performance mods is still very acceptable to me. I think the heavier poundage you shoot the more you will notice the difference. I’m shooting 60# on the Verdict and 65# on the Ethos at about 28 inches. I have a friend that is shooting an Ethos at 75# and he’s all in on smooth mods.

Elite ethos 29.5" @ 70lbs, smooth mods. I've actually thought about going back to perf for a month or so, just to compare. I went smooth mods almost immediately, maybe a week after getting it. Don't even remember what it's like.

 

The smooth mods are stiff at the beginning of the draw cycle then smoother towards the end performance is the opposite id rather have the performance. I shoot 80% let off with the limb stops. I was going to purchase a set for my enkore just to have though.

 

I had two Omnia's and now have an Era and switched them all to smooth mods. It's much easier on my draw shoulder and just more pleasurable to shoot. I'm 64 yo and shoot 60 lbs, 29" draw.
As others have stated it's only a 4-5 fps decrease in speed. My friend bought one of my Omnia's and he liked the performance mods, but he is only 35 yo.

 

@VXR4242 what speed difference if any did you notice with limb stops ? Ive never used them on my ethos, but VERY tempted to try them. They sit there looking at me with puppy dog eyes.
id expect 1 or 2fps loss at most with the stops in

 

Honestly never really saw a difference. Didn’t test it through a chronograph but I was hitting in the same spot with both the cable stops and limb stops out to 80 yards can’t really go further at my house. Did however just go back to my cable stops with my thumb release because I pull through with a thumb vs my hinge which I rotate more of a controlled command shot. If I try to pull through with my limb stops tends to send my arrows left.
