I would take a serious look at the Hoyt Charger and Bowtech Assassin as well. Do you have the opportunity to shoot any of these first?

 

I think the surge took the place of the Brute X. The Brute X is a great bow for the price so I'd go with the surge.

 

I think the vision is like the stinger and the surge is like the brute x. I got the stinger for my first bow a few months ago and like it a lot

 

I've shot them and sold them both and my pick hands down would be the Surge. That is one fine bow that PSE put out at a really good price. The Surge is buttery smooth and shoots very well. The Vision is nice but is a little jumpier than the Surge and unless you plan to immediately change the string and cables out for a good custom set, you'll have trouble keeping the cams in time with one another.

I have the Brute X and my son shoots the Surge. We are both very satisfied.

They are both pretty similar bows but the surge is a decent step up from the vision but I'd go with the surge considering you are done growing you won't need all of the extra adjustment with the vision but will still be able to last way over 3 years with the surge. The surge also has a bit more speed and will be smoother considering it is a single cam. Also if you weren't aware the surge actually replaced the brute x, which is the closest you will get to a high end performing bow. But, the surge is a new and slightly improved version of the brute x so that means its gotta be the better deal over the vision

 

Imma buy the PSE Surge. I'm just need to find a good price. The Surge with QAD Pro LD Rest, Octane Balance X Black stabilizer, skullworks finish, RTS with case, 9 arrows and others stuff is gonna be $695.00 with TAX and Ship. I think is a good price.
