Would someone be eble to tell the differnce in the 2 shafts? The Ultralight is labled as a target shaft, while the Velocity is labled as a hunting shaft. the ID and OD are the same for each spine and the GPI is the same. whats the difference?

forgot to mention - the weight tolerence is better with the Ultralight (+/- 0.5 grains) compared to the Velocity XT (+/- 2 grains), but the Ultralights are $5 cheaper - doesnt make much sense to me...unless i am missing something?

I shoot both shafts, they are exactly the same. I think it's just marketing; UL = target, Velocity = Hunting. In reality, they are interchangable. I buy whichever one I get a better price on.

The ultralights are a better shaft all around, tighter weight tolerance of .5 grains which you don't get out of a velocity til you buy pros, also the ultralights and ultralight pros come weight coded which isn't even an option with velocities.

Looking at the 2 it would be easy for one to think their interchangeable, and for some they may be, but the reality is the two are not the same arrow anymore than the pro hunter is the same as a expedition hunter or any other shaft sharing the same gpi and O.D. Same carbon from same machine sure, same arrow not hardly there is more time spent and scrutiny given to ultralights before the consumer even gets them and that makes them better quality! Buy ultralights, save $5, and know you have a better arrow all around!

Yes I would say other than label and weight coding, on new dozen packs, ultralight pros and velocity pros are essentially the same thing......however I would still buy Ultralights for the weight coding and their normally cheaper. It's nice to be able to look at a shelf of new shafts and buy a new dozen with the same weight range as your last dozen!
