Has anyone bought Win&Win Bows in Korea?

One of my co-worker is going back to Korea during December.

Just curious, is there any legal restriction to bring a bow riser back to USA in non-carry on luggage.

Would it be cheaper to buy them in Korea?

and lastly.....

I somewhat doubt it.... but is there regional modification they made for bows in KR that I may need to be aware of?

thanks.

My wife has gotten me both a W&W riser and limbs while in Korea. It really isn't any cheaper than U.S. prices, and I believe it was more expensive than prices at Alt. She had no trouble bringing them into the U.S. in her luggage. As far as I know, they are the same product that one would buy here.

I bought some W&W and Samick items while I was in Korea but the price is higher due to their taxes. I was able to get a substantial discount because I was training with the Seoul City Government team. It's really not worth buying it there. Lancaster or Alt Services is a lot cheaper. When you are departing from the airport, the customs agents will also try to charge an export duty tax.

The only reason I purchased the products in Korea is because if you are on a Pro Team they bring you 3 sets of limbs and risers to try out and pick the set you like the best. There is a slight difference in weight and how the limbs feel. I did not notice much but one team member was upgrading limbs and it took in half the day to choose a set of limbs.

There are also no "archery shops" in Korea so you have to go to the factory however, that does not mean they have everything in stock. I had to wait 2 weeks for a riser. Their products are allocated for export so you will most likely not be able to pick up on the spot.
