His EZ Button arrows have about 40 grains of vane/wrap on the back
Problem is Troy talks so much about Ashby that a whole lot of people assume these arrows are gonna be maxed out on FOC and penetrate like a hot knife through butter. They probably do work, so do a lot of arrows. The Cherokee killed deer with switch cane arrows and a tiny stone point that weighed about 30 grains. Some under 400 grains TAW, coming out of a 35 pound self bow with like a 25” draw length 🤷‍♂️. I doubt if that would penetrate a scapula, but I guess they were smart enough to build a flat shooting arrow and avoid the scapula 🤷‍♂️

Those 4 fetch helical Hybrid 26s should cover up quite a bit of bad bow tuning.

Brother that 4 fletch hybrid 26 on a high helical is old faithful. They steer broadheads like no other. But i am building my next set with FFP 360’s on about 2-2.5 degree offset.

Near 20% FOC, shouldn’t even need fletching 🤣

I've been using 3 fetch Max Stealth and Max Hunters, messed around with 4 fetch Pro Max. Currently have 3 fetch Super Sabres on my hunting arrows.

We all can play this game. I’ve been bow hunting since 1986. I’m an engineer…………..who cares? The only thing I can say is shoot what you want and stop the ridiculous debate. Make sure your equipment is tuned, use sharp broadheads, make sure your bow is accurate and the person do the shooting practices daily. Most instances of lost animals are due to shot placement issues and poor decisions. Quit thinking the tool is going to save your lack of preparation.
So a tuned bow and concentrate on accuracy? You literally repeated what I said. It’s not a debate, that’s the answer.

So a mechanical broadhead users who can't tune their bows to put fixed broadheads and field points hitting together are
"in a lot of these cases is to cover up poor or lazy hunters mistakes."

Now I understand the 2 inches of cut needed to take deer.
Where did I ever say anything like that?

Most hunters do not tune their bow, many do but not the majority. I would love to hear that every Hunter tunes to a bullet hole from 12-15 feet away, then shoots a fixed head with field points out to their furthest distance they plan on shooting an animal. Then and only then putting on a mechanical if they choose to.

Unfortunately that’s just not the case, most hunters do not tune their bows but some of the ones that do do not recheck their tune a month or 2 later.

As for good old Troy has went on podcasts and admitted he doesn’t know how to change the wheeling on the bows, he was offered to go and learn and refuses to take MFJJ up on the offer. He was offered free lessons by John Dudley to learn to to shoot accurately and again he refuses.

That's what he said when he was still shooting Xpedition. Then he hopped on with Elite and started using the SET tech. He still hasn't taken up the offer from several top bow tuners to get together and learn all the ins and outs of bow tuning. He just keeps on with the same old song and dance.
Yup because if he takes them up on learning to tune his grift is up!

I still don't feel it. I don't know what kind of soft hands yall have that claim they have them, but i just don't feel it. Not sure if its nerve damage or what. I can death grip the ** out of it and I do not feel it. Even with the 80lb mods on my lift I don't feel it, not have I felt it with any of the other flagship bows I've shot in the last decade or so. I try to shoot all of the new ones every year to see if I like them more than what I am currently shooting. Every couple years I wind up liking one and it follows me home. I just haven't felt any type of vibe in my hands shooting them. The "kick" was something I've felt once and that back in 2014 shooting a full throttle with light as ** arrows because I wanted to get as close to that 370fps as I could. but it wasn't something a wrist strap didn't fix.
It's still there but not near as bad as the older bows without vibration technology engineering. With trad bows heavy arrows will absorb much shock or vibration, an incorrect brace height and or no string silencers can cause more hand shock and or vibration. there will always be some until they make a bow that delivers 100% of it energy to the arrow.

I do find it hilarious that his example at 7:49 of a HORRIBLE pin gap with a light arrow is showing gaps from 10/20 to 90 yards

No mention of pin gap being affected by peep to pin distance in addition to arrow speed.

Did he forget about the basic principles of Front of Center [ aka foc [ ? Nowhere near that ratio with 'Light' Broad heads . More than likely may fly up like an airplane . That plus absolutely no penatration as mentioned earlier . This plus I've been building on Bitzs jigs , Fletchings , nocks and Broad Heads for the last 60 years ot so ..ymmv

But he’s got a youtube channel with years and years of content full of advice on archery and bowhunting. Could have gotten lessons from one of the most well known tuners in the world, and one of the very best archers in the world. Passed on it.

I think that says everything you need to know about the guy.

For the guys that think hand shock is the same as recoil from gun........🤣🤣🤣
I shoot a mathews bro, it is deader in the hand than a 99 cent squirt gun. It doesn’t work very good but I feel like a badass when packing it.

I do get some weird looks in the grocery store, can’t get away from jealous haters
