That's a tough question - I don't think there is a definatve answer. That being said, I think it also depends on the lay of the land and the individuals you would be sharing the ground with. If the deer are hunted wisely and not pressured 2 or 3 hunters should be able to hunt a piece that size without the feeling that you're sitting right on top of each other. Good luck!

I assume your buying your own land for the quality hunting and control over how it's managed. A dream come true - keep it that way. I'd say two max. Better yet, buy it your self and bring a guest now and then. I think four guys (and maybe guests) pounding on that spot is going to reduce the quality of what your buying to begin with. I guess that may sound a bit selfish, but I'd worry about what it might turn into. Just my opinion.

Hello
The reason i said 2 is i owned 35 ac and this was a deer trail establish before i move in.

Oh yes they would still be there at night. In the field next to the woods.
But i was hunting this by my self. And skipping a few days between hunting it.

And they would have baby's in this woods.
But as soon as season came they would still be there and i would see rubs.
But it all happen at night.Because of my presents in the woods in the day time.

Hello
And when i said 40=2 hunters i should have said a friend and your self.

Now some here are saying 4 hunters to 40.

Now can you just Imagen the smell of 4 would put off and movement of same.
And 4 guys going to there stands before day lite.

I believe it would litterly kill the 40.Oh yes maybe 4 guys for one day on open season. Or hit it once a month with 4 .But i still feel the smell and noise of 2 is a plenty to contend with.

Like someone else said, it is a really tough question for us to answer not knowing all the details of the property. I have a small tract that me and one other person hunts. It is 100ac, and probably only 25-35ac of woods. It is mostly fields with brush weed growing up in it. On my tract of land, that is all I would want to hunt it!

I hunt 80 acres by myself. Also have another fornot to far from there and if I hunt it, there would be 2 people on it.

this will be hunted primarily on weekends, mostly by my dad and I, there is state land nearby for our friends to hunt on. I appreciate everyone's feedback, I think we will limit to 3 people for bow, and 4 for rifle, providing the wind is right.

Thanks again

Two at the most for bow and one for the rifle season, I dont like to share hunting area I love to hunt alone so I dont pay for mistakes that others make.
