Just had new strings put on my bow and was wondering how often the strings need to be waxed. Thank you

I shoot almost 2 hr a day with 452x and basically never wax, after a few months there might be a little fuzz but not that bad. I did wax about 3 weeks ago just because I saw some wax in my kit and had my bow handy but with the quality of todays 452x waxing just isn't as big a deal anymore.

A couple of times a year. I should a couple of times a week in the warmer weather.

I feel the string in a few areas between the servings about once a week and wax if it feels dry. As long as the wax isn't sitting on top of the strand bundles, you are not over-waxed. I certainly don't wait until I can see the appearance change, as the cost of a new string set is far more than a tube of wax and the time it takes to wax it up.

I only wax mine a few times a year and they seem to hold up just fine.
