Hoyt Go Sticks on a Bowtech and not so subtle bow brag

I have been thinking about trying something like this for awhile and finally went for it while at TAC San Antonio through the Hoyt booth who were great help. I have been wanting to put some form of bow rest always on the bow like the matthews or Hoyt legs. Matthews clearly wasn't a option so that left the hoyt go sticks.

My sx 80 which I love didn't have a front lower stabilizer. However, my rear stabilizer mount is very low on the riser so I thought about putting the sticks there. This would bring about a issue of how I would still have my sidebar mount since I really like my bowfinger mount that is the most solid sidebar mount I have ever messed with never budged once unlike many others I have owned. To further complicate this I also have a AOT release holster I love that uses this same mounting hole since I find it in the way on the front bar, but perfectly hidden on the lower part of the riser in line with the limb pocket.

However, this is adding a lot of length so the stock bolts are too short. I originally brought a inch and a half bolt to the hoyt booth that was too short for how I wanted it mounted. However me and one of the Hoyt reps thought of a way to make it work screwing the sticks right to the riser and the sidebar screw into the QD mount and put my sidebar mount above the center of the sticks.

After I got home I tinkered with plastic shims, washers, and many other options to get it perfect. I essentially needed something as a spacer to get the sidebar mount back some so It wouldn't touch the go sticks and so I had room to fold the go stick to different positions so the bow could still fit in my case for transport. However, everything I did stacking washers or with shims would always be able to spin which would be no good changing sidebar and worse all the time. My final solution I am very happy with that is rock solid and will not move I have tried and cant get it to budge. I did this by using a 3inch bolt 5-16x24 from amazon, two regular washers, 3 rubber grommets, and a brass sleeve from local hardware store. Basically the sleeve is the needed spacer with the rubber grommets inside the brass to give a perfect tension fit and washers on both sides to be a tight and professional look leaving the perfect amount of space to barely be able to fold the sticks and no extra.

Figured this might help someone if they were trying to do something similar on any other bow, plus get to brag about my setup I am very happy with phenomenal steady, fast, and accurate bow plus now for barely any weight can also always be set down immediately keeping the cam out of the dirt using the front bar as a tripod setup that is very steady and doesn't nock over easy at all.

Custom SX80 Green Riser Black Limbs with Lucky Stops

15'' bee stinger micro hex front and matching 10'' sidebar

HHA Tetra ryze frame with Ultraview XL SE scope 4 pin cartridge and added HHA Indicator so 1 for each pin making every pin a mover

And my favorite arrow rest being the Hamskea epsilon for the rest

Cool that you figured out how to make all that work.

Why do you have your rear stab angled like that? The whole point of a lower mounting point for a stabilizer is to allow a lower center of gravity so you can use either a shorter bar or less weight on the bar to achieve the same results as a bar mounted higher up.

Since the mods want to delete my original post let me post another.

Great job on the parts, hope it serves you well.

Still don't see the need for such things but it's cool I guess, not for the post count and not spam.

Carry on gents.
You'll still have to wait two weeks to get into the classifieds.

Hey. Is there any way to adjust the go stix so that you can rest your bow on the cam rather than the front stabilizer? I hunt from a ground blind and would love to utilize a bow stand like this on a ss34 but do not want to have a long front bar. Thanks!
