The extra black shims were added recently by Hoyt because of the RX-7s that wouldn't tune without a crazy crooked centershot. I had one of them.

I was under the impression Hoyt only had 4 different kinds of spacer 2 black and 2 grey, I was shipped 6 different kinds.

There were a set of extra thin black spacers and extra thick black spacers, is this normal?

Where did you order the kit?

I have a Rx 7 and a Rx 7 ultra. Both will not tune with the stock grey spacers. I went to buckeye Archery but their products lack any kind of description of what is pictured. I don't need 200 spacers. I just need enough to tune in these two bows. If anyone can help me with what to order I would greatly appreciate it.

 

Order a Mathew's, pse, or even a bow tech. Sorry just being a butt. You should be able to get the correct shims from your dealer or Hoyt can send them to your dealer

 

Went to the local bow shop tonight. I got a black set of shims for both bows. I left the gray shims in the top with the thick gray on the module side and the black set of shims on the bottom with the thick one on the module side. Shooting bullets now. Feels good to now be able to shoot confidently.

 

Mine was also shooting bullets with the same configuration. My broadheads are hitting right of my field points at 30yrds, gna shim the top with the black shims next, to match the bottom.

Bringing this back up... anyone know what the total amount of shim the VTM is suppose to have? I assume it is around 0.2 ish

Sorry I am coming from elite where I use to match the shims for each cam. It is ok to only shim one cam at a time? I thought you would want to mirror. Thank you
