To this point I have only used the HSS lifelines. I always use them and will never sit in a tree without a safety line. After checking online, the HSS lifeline 3 pack is running from about $100 to $130. The Muddy lifeline 3 pack was only about $85. Is there a significant quality difference between these two products? Can anyone tell me about real world unfortunate accidents involving the Muddy lines that saved you? If I can save a dollar and keep the same level of safety I am all for it.

If I recall the muddy lines I bought didn't have the carabiner with them, hence the price difference.
not sure on the muddy ones but I prefer the HSS over my millennium ones. Also, I buy my lifelines when they go on sale at HSS - appears to be every year at thanksgiving, last year was a 3 pack of the reflective ones for $64 shipped.
Muddy lines seem to be a little thinner than HSS. The last Muddy 3 pack I bought came with two prussic knots and two caribeiners.
I bought the HSS ropes that have the reflecter woven in them and those ropes smell really bad. Two years in a tree out back and they still smell. The reflecting is nice.
