How do I, as a coach, locate resources for my students who wish to persue archery scolarships?
I'm located in N.E. Ohio.

And in fact there are 2 other coaches, I work with during the winter and we have about 100 kids in the winter classes. 4 classes x 25 kids. 8 to 18yo.
One level 2 coach and 2 or 3 level 1 coaches. Plus a couple helpers when needed.

Thanks for replying.

Good luck finding actual archery "scholarships." Even Texas A&M, last I knew, only offers marginal incentives and then only to a handful of their archers. I believe offering in-state tuition for non-resident athletes was one of the incentives. But as far as significant scholarships for archery? I wish you luck. Far better that a student choose a university that meets their professional post-archery interest than to attend one for the sake of shooting archery.

LAS and their techs have been nothing but good to me and have provided a wealth of helpful information when I have asked for it...

There are very few companies that treat their customers as well as they do and also provide top notch service...

Went by in person and spent a little over a grand on Saturday. I was advised, if going in person on a Saturday (especially with bow season opening soon), to get there before they opened so I did. I got there 15 minutes before opening and was already ninth in line at the door. I had to leave my house by 5:30 to do that but it was worth it. Fortunately, I was served right away. The tech I was assigned to spent at least two hours getting my squared away with my new bow. They opened at 8:00 and by 9:30 the line of names on the board waiting for an associate was probably 30 people long.

They have a test range right there on the showroom floor and every new bow purchase also gets you two free hours of range time at the larger range downstairs. There is also an additional range in a separate building next door where they do some classes, coaching instruction, etc.

The only potentially mild annoyance is just because their website says they have something in stock, it doesn't mean they necessarily have it in stock in the showroom. Their warehouse is about a 20 minute drive away so you may have to wait for one of the courier runs to bring over what you need from the warehouse so this could lengthen your wait time. Not a big deal though but best to plan for most of the day if you go there to buy a bow and get it tuned for you.

You are very correct. I had a few small ones from hunting associations but could never find anything that actually made an impact on tuition.

I thought about visiting this store when attending the Outdoor National in 2023. But I was too tired to make a round trip from Philadelphia after the competition. Some of my friends did, and I heard positive things from them.

I will be back to Pennsylvania this summer. Let see if there will be time for me to visit this range in person.

How big is the place? Never been
The store is on the second floor along with an indoor range. For an archery store, it is huge. There are sections on the floor devoted to bow types, like compound and target recurve. They have a section of one piece longbows and recurves. There is a second range belonging to the academy near the main store.
